I bnever see mto keep this up to date!
The shows this year have been good - the american imported whites - manuka and amallow have both done well at shows now - one got Best Mutation (Mallow) and the other got Reserve Best Adult Mutation (Manuka) - a good start to a whites breeeding program.
They are both now paired to three females each (5 std and a beige) so look forward to some future good kits there.
Collected a lovely BV male at last after months of trying to find one - got one of a top breeder - he hasnt been shown, and now im in the main show i shant show him - so have to wait for his kits to be shown to see the results of the breeding on that line- he is currently paired to a single std female as he only just 7 months - but shall extend him to more top std females as he ages a bit.
The others have all been well- we did have a sad unforutnalte death of a male standa who had only recently arrived that caused a huge panic- so had a full post mortem done and turned out to be kidney failure - so not something that in that incident could have been known or avoided :( |
